Flashback Friday

A reminder to myself just how far we've come! I sometimes have trouble remembering that the wild toddlers causing destruction and chaos around the house were the same tiny babies we worried about for weeks, wondering whether they would survive without the big problems associated with prematurity. We have so much to be grateful for, that's for sure! I still cry when I see these videos -- I think it's a some of the "normal" mom feelings, but I'm always hit with that overwhelming wave of guilt, fear, uncertainty, terror when I see these videos. I never fully appreciated just how hard being a NICU mom would be until I experienced it for myself.
